Une carrière de plus de trente ans à Al-Ahram

Amr Yehia Sallam a rejoint Al-Ahram en 1993, l’une des institutions médiatiques les plus anciennes et les plus influentes du monde arabe.

Au fil de sa carrière, il a occupé différentes fonctions : journaliste chargé de l’information, correspondant militaire, reporter parlementaire et politique, rédacteur spécialisé dans les sciences et technologies, puis journaliste senior chargé des affaires étrangères.

Il occupe aujourd’hui la fonction d’Editing Manager for Diplomacy, International Affairs and Arab League Affairs.

Ses analyses et reportages sont publiés dans Al-Ahram Arabic Daily Newspaper, Al-Ahram Weekly, en langue anglaise, ainsi que sur Ahram English Online.

Il travaille principalement en arabe et en anglais.

Diplômé en littérature de l’Université du Caire, Amr Yehia a également poursuivi des études supérieures en journalisme et sciences politiques.

Son parcours académique comprend également des formations en :

Amr Yehia intervient régulièrement comme journaliste, analyste et expert sur les questions liées au Moyen-Orient.

Il a notamment donné une conférence au National Defence College du Sri Lanka sur le thème :

« The Current Situation in the Middle East from the Perspective of Egyptian Foreign Policy ».

Son intervention portait notamment sur le rôle régional de l’Égypte, les déterminants historiques de sa politique étrangère et les transformations géopolitiques affectant le Moyen-Orient.

Lors du St. Petersburg International Economic Forum – SPIEF 2026, il a également participé à la délégation internationale des médias et conduit une discussion avec Maria Zakharova, porte-parole du ministère russe des Affaires étrangères, consacrée aux stratégies permettant d’identifier et de réfuter les informations trompeuses.
