Folk Arts Exhibition of Latin America , Caribbean Opens at Cairo Opera House

The Salah Taher Gallery at the Egyptian Opera House inaugurated the Folk Arts Exhibition of Latin American and Caribbean countries, with the participation of eleven countries from South America.
The exhibition, which will remain open to the public until October 7, features paintings, traditional costumes and cultural artifacts that reflect the diverse spirit of Latin American culture across generations.

In his opening remarks, Ecuadorian Ambassador Denis Toscano; Dean of the Group of Latin American and Caribbean Ambassadors in Egypt (GRULAC), underscored the richness of culture and arts in South America, noting that its peoples share many common bonds clearly reflected in the works on display.

Toscano welcomed ambassadors of South American countries, members of foreign diplomatic missions, representatives of the Latin American communities in Egypt, and students of Spanish from Egyptian universities.

"Culture and art are a bridge that connects peoples and unites their voice and vision in building an inclusive future," Toscano said, adding that this is the role played by arts and culture in Latin America, which has produced many prominent figures in the history of human culture.

For his part, the director of the Salah Taher Gallery stressed that the Egyptian Opera House stands as a multifaceted beacon of art and culture.
