Amr Yehia
The League of Arab States has condemned the attacks carried out by the Houthi militia on Ma'ashiq Palace, the headquarters of the Yemeni government in Aden, Aden International Airport, and residential neighborhoods in the city of Marib, which resulted in casualties, injuries, and placed civilian lives at grave risk.

The League affirmed its full solidarity with the Yemeni government and the Yemeni people, expressing its sincere condolences to the families of the victims and its wishes for a speedy recovery for the injured.
The League stressed that these attacks represent a highly dangerous escalation and a flagrant violation of international law and international humanitarian law, emphasizing that the continued targeting of state institutions and civilian facilities reflects an insistence on pursuing escalation, threatening Yemen's security and stability and undermining efforts aimed at de-escalation and reaching a political settlement to the Yemeni crisis.
The Arab League renewed its firm position in support of Yemen's unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity, and its backing for the Yemeni government and legitimate state institutions, calling on the international community to assume its responsibilities and take firm positions and measures to halt these attacks and hold those responsible accountable, in a manner that ensures the protection of civilians and the preservation of state institutions.
The League also welcomed the Presidential Statement issued by the UN Security Council on October 15, 2026, including its condemnation of the escalating Houthi attacks and its call for an immediate halt to the escalation and attacks targeting civilians and civilian facilities.
The League underscored the importance of intensifying Arab and international efforts to reach a comprehensive political settlement to the Yemeni crisis, in accordance with the agreed references and relevant Security Council resolutions, foremost among them Resolution 2216, in a way that ensures the restoration of security and stability and ends the suffering of the Yemeni people.
